A very simple but different dessert recipe. We all love khir/firni but this has a little twist! Instead of using sugar I use caramel here for a different flavour and to give the khir a brownish look so that it looks like its made with gur/molasses! 😊

Take rice in a bowl and soak it for 2-3 hours and wash with tap water

Take a pan and boil the milk

In the mean time drain the water from the rice and blend it using a blender but do not overblend. Blend in a way that it has a coarse texture.

Once the milk has boiled add the the rice to it and cook for 20-25 mins (untill the rice has boiled)

In a separate pan take sugar and caramelise it. Once the rice has boiled add the caramel to the milk and rice and cook for further 5 mins.

Serve in a bowl and garnish with your choice of nuts! Enjoy!!!
