- 2
Soak saffron strands in the milk. You can also use saffron colour. I avoid food colors as much as possible.
- 3
Roast cashews in a tbsp of ghee, until golden and then add raisins and fry till they blow like balloons. Set them aside.
- 4
Add remaining ghee to the pan. Saute pineapple chunks and apple for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the suji and mix well. Fry for a min. Set aside in a plate.
- 5
Add water and saffron milk and bring to rolling boil. Add the sugar to this mixture.
- 6
On a low flame, slowly add suji little by little. Keep stirring continuously to make sure there are no lumps. Close the pan and cook for 2-3 mins.
- 7
Add fried cashews, raisins, cardamom powder and give it a good mix. Garnish with chopped almonds and serve.🍍 Apple Sheera or Kesari is ready to be served. It tastes great when served hot.
