Making dumplings is also a group effort, so New Year celebrations are good times to get together to make and eat several batches.

Ingredients

  1. 12 pcsBanana prawns (peeled)
  2. 250 grpork mince
  3. 2 tbspcorn starch
  4. 1 cupsliced Leek
  5. 1 tbspgarlic mince
  6. 12 pcsgyoza dumpling wrapper
  7. 1 tspchilli powder
  8. 1 tspblack sesame seeds
  9. 1 tspgarlic mince
  10. 1 tspchilli flakes
  11. 1 tsppreserved radish

Cooking Instructions

    Combine pork mince, corn starch, leek, garlic, 2 heaped spoon of water, add salt, pepper and chicken powder, mix well

  2. 2

    Scoop the pork mixture to wrapper then place the prawn so the tails face up then fold the dumpling around the prawn and leave the tails kind of sticking out.

    Heat a non stick pan with little oil, pan fry the dumplings and turn the heat down and *be careful of splashing* pour hot water then cover with lid, cook for 5 minutes.

    For chilli oil ; pour a hot oil to a heatproof bowl of garlic,chilli powder, chilli flakes, preserved radish, black sesame seed, mix well

    Serve with chilli oil, spring onion, black sesame seed
