Cooking Instructions
- 1
Place the carrots, potatoes, and eggs in a pot to boil (eggs in separate pot). Take out eggs until they are hard boiled. Take out the carrots and potatoes until they are easily stabbed through with a fork (or medium force pressed into them)
- 2
Drain the cans of tuna and mix with 1/4 cup of mayo, or until it’s creamy and not hard to mix. Once the tuna is ready, place a thin and even layer of tuna on any desired plate you wish to serve.
- 3
Peel the potatoes and grate them on top of the tuna with a even layer as well. After the potatoes are added, place the remaining mayonnaise into a ziplock bag, cut off the tip and squirt the mayo up and down all around the potatoes. You can leave it as is, or smear the mayo all over the potatoes.
- 4
Thinly slice the pickles and dice into small pieces spreading all over the potatoes and repeating the steps with the mayo by squirting it all over.
- 5
Grate the carrot and repeat mayo step. Thinly slice and dice the onion and layer it on top of the carrot. Now separate the white and yolk from the egg and grate the whites on a smaller grater size all over the mimosa, and final step would be to grate the yolk on the same small grater size.

"Mimosa" salad "Mimosa" salad
Mimosa salad is a popular in Ukraine festive «New Year» salad. Whose main ingredients are cheese, eggs, canned fish, onion, and mayonnaise.Mimosa salad got its name because of its reminiscence of "mimosa", spring flowers, scattered on the snow. The similarity is achieved by crumbling and scattering boiled egg yolk on the surface. Yanina_is_cooking -

Mimosa Tagliatelle. Cheers to Women! Mimosa Tagliatelle. Cheers to Women!
On the occasion of “Women's Day” and since all kinds of “budget cuts” lead us to seek more economical ideas, I decided this year, instead of a bouquet of mimosas, to offer my wife a plate of “mimosa tagliatelle”!!!For the greenery of the bouquet, I used green tagliatelle, homemade and from as pure ingredients as possible. How did I color them? See here (“Green Dough for Tagliatelle ‘Popeye the Sailorman’”) to find out.As for the mimosa flowers, small, round, and bright yellow, I made small balls from white fish fillet (but once the economy picks up, they could also be made from shrimp, crayfish, crab, etc.), colored with saffron. Thus, a composition was created... at least different from previous years. Here, you will find instructions for the second part, the “flowers” of this composition.A few more secretsAs I write at the beginning, the “mimosa flowers” could also be made from shrimp, crab, crayfish, or even smoked or fresh salmon. I didn't dare to buy such things from the supermarket because you never know, they might even monitor what we buy... Besides, I can't stand any more cuts...The quantities in the photos are exactly half of those mentioned. I wanted to celebrate, not overindulge... ggrTranslated from Cookpad Greece -
Avocado and Crab Mimosa Salad Avocado and Crab Mimosa Salad
I tried arranging the avocado and crab salad that I usually just mix together mimosa-style. I had some time so I tried making it in a circular mold.Avocado can discolor easily so make it last. Be sure to sprinkle it with lemon juice to prevent it from changing color. You can use crab in vinegar sauce instead of the plain crab used here.If you don't have a circular mold, try serving this in a clear glass. For 2 servings. Recipe by noriran cookpad.japan -
