Spanish Omelette in an Air Fryer

We make this at home every week. Using the air fryer is more convenient for me because I don't have to fry with a lot of oil in the pan. It's healthier, and the taste is delicious! My special touch...a good piece of Galician chorizo, of course!! @maria_marieta, I think you're going to like it ;)

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 390°F (200°C)
- 2
Cut the potatoes and chorizo into small cubes, and the onion into small pieces as well. Set aside the chorizo and put the potatoes and onions in a bowl, add two tablespoons of oil and salt to taste, and stir.
- 3
Put the mixture into the air fryer and set it for 22 minutes at 375°F (190°C). When there are 11 minutes left, open the air fryer, stir the potatoes a bit, and add the chorizo. Let it finish cooking.
- 4
While the potatoes and other ingredients finish in the air fryer, beat the eggs and heat a pan over medium heat with a splash of oil for a while.
- 5
When the potatoes are ready, mix them with the eggs in a bowl, let it rest a bit, and pour everything into the pan.
- 6
Stir a little so the eggs start to set, then shape the edges. When it sets at the bottom, place a large plate on top of the pan and flip it quickly. Put the pan back on the heat and slide the omelette back in to cook on the other side. Leave it for a couple of minutes (depending on how runny you like it) to finish cooking, and enjoy!

I learned this recipe from my mother-in-law.It's perfect for something to eat with drinks, to pack in your lunch, or have for dinner. It's important to take time when cooking each side. If you cook it over high heat, it'll burn the surface and leave the inside uncooked, making it hard to flip over. Recipe by Monkichip cookpad.japan -

Easy in the Microwave Spanish Omelette Easy in the Microwave Spanish Omelette
Spanish omelettes are usually large frying pan size, but I wanted to make a small one easily without any oil, so I came up with this.Use a bowl that is around the same size as that listed. If the ingredients overflow in Step 2, just remove them. Adjust the cooking time to suit your microwave. This contains simple ingredients, so season it well with salt and pepper You can use satoimo (taro) instead of potato. It's tasty. Recipe by Momokito cookpad.japan -

Low fat Spanish omelette Low fat Spanish omelette
Well I have often found recipes of 'Spanish omelette' featuring ingredients such as peas. Sounded outrageous to me as I believed it should only be potato onion and egg but on this version I have added zucchini . I must admit it really looks the part despite not using tons of olive oil to cook the potato slowly. Still delicious. almu21 -

2-Egg Fluffy Spanish Omelet 2-Egg Fluffy Spanish Omelet
I want to eat a Spanish Omelet! But I only had a couple eggs in the fridge.I used dashi-flavored eggs as inspiration when dealing with this conflict.Slicing the potato into strips adds more volume to the dish! When you're cooking it, slowly steam cook it over low heat. When it's time to flip the omelet, shake it out of the frying pan onto a plate, and then flip the plated omelet back onto the pan. I think this will keep the omelet looking nice.I used a 22 cm frying pan for this example. For 1 small frying pan. Recipe by emyo cookpad.japan -
Microwave Low-Cal Vegetable Spanish Omelet Microwave Low-Cal Vegetable Spanish Omelet
I love Spanish omelets (Tortilla de patatas) but frying is so annoying, plus the kitchen gets messy and cleaning up is so much work. So I came up with this slightly low-calorie and more convenient method. The cooking time will vary depending on your microwave, so adjust accordingly. For my microwave, 8 minutes was fine. When flipping over the omelet, place the one-sided browned omelet on a flat plate larger than the omelet itself, and then flip it so that the uncooked side can brown in the frying pan. If you use this method, I don't think you can mess up. Recipe by Spain cookpad.japan
