Ingredients

4-8 servings
  1. 2 1/2 cupsflour
  2. 1/2 cupwarm milk
  3. 1/3 cupwater
  4. 2 teaspoonsugar
  5. 1 teaspoonyeast
  6. 2 teaspoonbutter
  7. Pinchsalt

Cooking Instructions

    Proof yeast by adding ¼ cup of luke warm water, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of yeast. Stir well and set aside to rise.

    In a bowl, add ½ cup of warm milk,⅓ cup of water, yeast mixture and stir.

    Seive flower in another bowl and add a pinch of salt.

  4. 4

    Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients bit by bit to avoid clumps and mix until incorporated.

    Transfer the dough on to a counter and add in 2 teaspoons of butter to finish the kneading. (If dough is sticky, add ¼ cup of flour).

    Beat the dough until soft and elastic. Then transfer the dough into a bowl and let rise for 30-40 minutes.

    After it has doubled in size, transfer the dough on to a counter and cut the dough into small pieces. Roll the dough into circles, transfer onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, cover and let rise for 10-15 minutes.

    Roll the dough again by flattening the dough and bringing the sides to the centre and pinch to form a ball shape.

    Spray with water and cover with a wet kitchen towel. Let rise for 40 minutes.

    Sprinkle flour on top of each dough and make cuts using a kinife or a scissors at the centre. Add mini butter sticks.

    Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes on lower rack then transfer on a top rack until golden brown.

    Ulala, and the petit rolls are ready to be served with hot tea or any drink of your choice. OH YUM!!! #maherzkitchen
