Wash kali dal with fresh water and keep in a pot with water for 6-7 hours

Separate dal from water and Cook it in pressure cooker for 3-4 whistle

Heat some butter in a pan, splutter jeera Add chopped Onion, Ginger- garlic paste and fry it for 2-3 minutes.

Add tomato paste chilli powder and fry. Then add cooked dal, water and salt acording to taste

Cook it for 10 minutes and your dal makhani is ready.

Transfer it in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaf and fresh malai.
