All-purpose Tartar-style Dill Sauce

I used the dill that I grew myself, and tried making some tartar-stye sauce with it. I tasted one spoonful and loved it.
Adjust the amount of dill to your liking. This sauce has the flavor of mayonnaise and the saltiness of caper, so I didn't add any salt.
If you are using it as a sandwich filling, reduce the amount of milk.
Make it as runny or thick as you'd like. Recipe by KT121

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine all the ingredients, season with black pepper and it's done.
- 2
You can add canned tuna or salmon and use it as sandwich filling, or enjoy it with boiled potatoes, use it as a dressing for warm vegetables, or as a dip. It's also tasty spread on bread.
- 3
It goes well with deep-fried food. Here, it's served with fried salmon, which goes perfectly with dill.
- 4
This is what dill flower looked like. I pick the seeds and keep them to plant next year, or use them in cooking.

One of my favorite sauces. I typically make this to serve with corn beef and cabbage with French bread. It is pretty damn good on anything actually... I've put it on salmon, on any kind of deli sandwich, roast beef... This stuff is great.Zach Martin

Quick & Easy Greek Themed Meatballs with lemon-dill sauce Quick & Easy Greek Themed Meatballs with lemon-dill sauce
With working, rearing a 6 month old, and squeezing in dinner before my husband goes to work in the evenings I find myself often short on time. So a lot of recipes I've been developing lately are focused on convenience and speed, while hopefully maintaining interesting and varied flavors. This particular dish came about from my craving for something with Greek flavors, but not having the time to do anything from scratch. Normally I would make meatballs from scratch with all the seasoning infused, but alas time crunch again. Lol. Although not authentic or fresh meatballs it did in a pinch and I hope you enjoy! Easy Tartar Sauce Easy Tartar Sauce
I don't really like pickles, so I made a variation on a tartar sauce recipe with some pickled cucumbers I had instead and it tasted great.I don't use heavy cream at home, so I used coffee creamer and it was a great success.Adjust the amount of coffee creamer to the richness you like. The pickled cucumbers have enough saltiness to them that you don't need to add extra salt, but give it a taste to see. This is a simplified version!!I used lemon juice, but if you have fresh lemon, you should use it!!If you don't have lemon juice or fresh lemon, you can use Italian dressing. It's convenient if you make it right in the bowl that it will be served in to prevent dirtying extra dishes. One day my friend had told me that she needed to buy some pickles. When I asked what she was making, she said tartar sauce!! I think it's such a waste to buy pickles just for that purpose. It's fine if you like pickles and have them at home, but otherwise using parsley is totally fine. Recipe by mielle cookpad.japan -
Delicious Tartar Sauce without Pickles Delicious Tartar Sauce without Pickles
I love a tartar sauce that has a lot of veggies in it. When I replaced the pickles with vegetables rubbed with sushi vinegar, it was so delicious. As you can see, it's so easy to make this without pickles It goes great with a salad or sauteed fish.Finely chopping up the vegetables and the egg helps the flavors blend well with the mayonnaise and makes the sauce smooth, so it's easy to eat with fried foods. If you're having this with bread or canapés, use a little less mayonnaise so it's less runny. If you're going to use it as a sauce, then add in some milk to thin it out! Recipe by Heartful Kitchen Rei cookpad.japan -
