Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put Everything in your Stand mixer APART from the milk and water and combine until it looks a bit like fine Breadcrumbs
- 2
Add the Milk warm Water and bring everything together with your hands then tip onto a floured surface and Knead for about 5 mins. or about 3 in a stand mixer - you may need to add a little extra flour if sticking
- 3
Slightly Oil a large bowl and transfer the Dough ball into it will a few more drops of oil and Tightly cover with Clingfilm - Allow to rest for at least 1 hour or until at least double in size.
- 4
Flour the work surface and tip out the dough divide into 6 (I do 4 as I love LARGE Sandwiches or can do 8 if prefer "fun Size"). Roll each into a ball and place on a Buttered Baking Sheet - using another baking sheet or anything flat press down so that you flatten the balls - cover with a dry clean Cloth and let them rest for another 30 mins while you pre hear oven to 200c
- 5
Before placing into the Oven slightly flatten them again - so they are around half their thickness.
- 6
Traditionally you slightly press your thumb into the centre to make a dent (optional) then bake for 15 mins - turning half way though the cooking
- 7
Allow to cool the slice and add the filling of your choice. I love to toast these too in the morning with lots of butter and Jam - WOWWWWWW !
- 8
Can Freeze for about a month or eat within 3 days - Enjoy.

Yorkshire Pudding Yorkshire Pudding
Traditionally served with rib-roast meals since the roast itself renders lots of beef drippings from cooking - a key ingredient! It makes for a very nice accompaniment to a special holiday meal; however it can be made throughout the year using other drip substitutes or fat. This recipe (for ~8) utilizes the warm batter method for consistent height and texture, with crisper puddings and a hollow core. Rick M -
English Crumpets English Crumpets
I suddenly felt like having Crumpets so I gave them a try. They take less time to prepare than baking bread. In the past, I used a hot plate with vegetable oil, but I made them in a frying pan with unsalted butter. It's best to ferment the yeast in a separate container with just a small amount of sugar and lukewarm water. Keep the temperature around 38℃. It takes some time for it to ferment and double in size. Cooking with unsalted butter brings out the flavor.Using a hotplate is convenient for keeping them warm. Recipe by Brandy. Yields 3 thick crumpets. cookpad.japan -

Straight from a British Home! Easy Apple Crumble Straight from a British Home! Easy Apple Crumble
Apple crumble is usually made alongside dinner as a dessert rather than a stand alone snack. When I did a homestay in Britain I learnt how different British cooking is to Japanese cooking. I thought the simplicity of British cooking was wonderful and had my homestay family teach me this recipe.Crumble is very sweet so it's fine if your apples are sour If the apples you are using are sweet then squeeze some lemon juice over them in Step 3. You can make the crumble in a plastic bag rather than a bowl. British people usually eat apple crumble with some hot custard, but it tastes delicious with ice cream too. Shortbread Cookies Shortbread Cookies
This is a variation of a cookie recipe I found in a homemade cookie book published by Boutique.Be sure to completely chill the dough until hardened (at least 1 hour, if not for longer) for a foolproof dough. You can add some dried fruits (apricots, orange peel, maraschino cherries, etc.) in Step 4. You can skip Step 6 if you don't feel like coating the cookies in sugar. Recipe by INCE cookpad.japan -

English Scones English Scones
My British friend taught me how to make scones. I lessened the ingredient amounts so they were easier to make, and they turned out surprisingly crispy and moist.Mix the flour and butter evenly so the texture is like breadcrumbs. This is the main point!Cut out the shapes with a sharp cutter. The final result will be fluffier! If you want the scones to be very moist, use more milk. If the dough doesn't come together easily, let it rest in the fridge first. Recipe by Waabisuke cookpad.japan -
English Muffins English Muffins
I wanted to get closer to the taste and texture of real Pasco brand muffins that I did with my previous recipe. If you use rice flour, it will make them even more chewy. When they're freshly baked, you can make them look more like authentic Paso muffins by cutting into them 5 mm deep all the way 'round and then pulling them apart with your hands!
