Ingredients

2 hours
A 13-in x 9-in pan
  1. Dough
  2. 360 gall-purpose flour
  3. 1 teaspoonsbaking powder
  4. 45 mlmilk
  5. 2large eggs
  6. Zest of 1 lemon
  7. Pinchsal
  8. 90 gconfectioners sugar
  9. 135 gunsalted butter, at room temperature
  10. Filling
  11. 150 gsweetened shredded coconut
  12. 2large eggs
  13. 400 gdulce de leche
  14. 100 gsugar
  15. 100 gheavy cream

Cooking Instructions

    Sift flour and baking powder. Set aside.

    Beat butter, then incorporate confectioners sugar, zest and salt.

    Add eggs and milk.

  4. 4

    Lower speed and add flour and baking powder.

  5. 5

    Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 13-in x 9-in baking pan. Line with a greased parchment paper.

    Roll dough into 1/4-in thickness. Place on pan.

    Punch holes, cover with parchment paper and place weights on top. Par-bake dough for 5 minutes. Cool.

    Remove weights and parchment paper.

  9. 9

    Mix eggs (without beating them). Add cream and sugar and mix. Set aside.

    Spread dulce de leche in an even layer on the par-baked dough.

  11. 11

    Combine coconut and egg mixture. Pour over dulce de leche and carefully distribute evenly.

    Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool.

  13. 13

    Remove from pan and cut in squares.
