Baked Italian Meatballs

This is my "go to" recipe when I need meatballs. The recipe is large enough that I can divide the quantity in half and freeze some for another meal. I call these Italian because of the seasoning, but they are close enough to Polish because of all the garlic. My husband says these are the best!!

This is my "go to" recipe when I need meatballs. The recipe is large enough that I can divide the quantity in half and freeze some for another meal. I call these Italian because of the seasoning, but they are close enough to Polish because of all the garlic. My husband says these are the best!!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with tinfoil and spray foil with Olive Oil Spray.
- 2
In a large mixing bowl combine bread crumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic and Cream of Mushroom soup.
- 3
Add Ground Chuck, Italian sausage, Montreal Steak Seasoning, Italian seasoning, chopped onion, and chopped green pepper. Mix thoroughly (I use my hands).
- 4
Form meatballs into 1-inch balls and place on cookie sheet.
- 5
Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and turn each meatball over. Return to oven and bake for 15 more minutes.
- 6
NOTE: I add some of the meatballs to my Easy Hearty Spaghetti Sauce (recipe here on Cookpad) and serve for dinner. I freeze the remaining meatballs for another meal, Swedish meatballs and Mushroom gravy for example.

My family loves meatballs and this is such an easy way to make them on a busy weeknight. It also means we can serve it in many different ways...for instance my kids prefer spaghetti and meatballs and my husband prefers meatball subs. I like my meatballs and sauce over spaghetti squash. If you're not using a lean meat for this, then you might want to brown the meatballs under the broiler for a few minutes on each side first...this will allow you to drain a lot of the grease before adding the meatballs to the slow cooker. These meatballs are tender, soft and melt in your mput. They are great on pasta or in a sub roll. We often serve them in bowls with crusty bread. They also make great sliders or meatball parmesan! fenway -
