Ingredients

  1. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cupsugar
  3. 1 tbspmelted butter
  4. 1 tbspbaking powder
  5. 1/4evaporated milk
  6. 1egg
  7. 1 tspvanilla extract
  8. 3/4 cupwater
  9. cheese for topping

Cooking Instructions

    Greese mold with melted butter or cooking oil. Sift flour, sugar and baking powder; mix well.

    Mix egg, milk, butter, water and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.

    Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients. Mix well until free of lumps.

    Pour the mixture amout 3/4 of the silicone mold and put mold into the steamer.

    Wrap lid of steamer with cotton cloth to avoid water dripping over puto. Steam for 10 minutes.

    Place a piece of sliced cheese into the top of each puto and steam additional minute until cheese is slightly melted.

    Let it cool before removing from the mold. Serve and enjoy.
