Ingredients

  1. 200 g(small onions) / 1/2 cup
  2. Tamarind - lemon sized
  3. 2green chillies
  4. 1 tspred chilli powder
  5. 2medium tomato
  6. 1/2 inchginger
  7. 3 clovesgarlic
  8. salt to taste
  9. To Temper
  10. 1 tbspsesame oil
  11. 1 tspmustard seed
  12. 1/2 tspfenugreek seeds
  13. 2 sprigcurry leafs
  14. Marinate Fish
  15. turmeric + salt
  16. To Roast & Grind
  17. Sesame oil
  18. 8red chillies
  19. 4 tspcoriander seeds
  20. 1/2 tspblack peppercorns
  21. 1 tspcumin seeds
  22. 1 tspfennel seeds
  23. 2 sprigcurry leafs

Cooking Instructions

    Marinate Fish 1 hour in fridge

  2. 2

    Soak tamarind 10 mins in warm water

  3. 3

    Roast and grind the ingredients with water

  4. 4

    Heat oil, add items to temper. Once mustard cracks, add curry leaves and saute for a min.

  5. 5

    Add onion & green chillies, fry it well for 5 mins.

  6. 6

    Add tomatoes and fry until mushy and soft.

  7. 7

    Add roast and grind paste, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste.

  8. 8

    Fry well until raw smell of masala leaves

  9. 9

    Add tamarind with salt, adjust water if needed.

    Boil in medium flame for 10-15 mins, the curry becomes thick

  11. 11

    Lastly add fish and switch off when fish is cooked.

    #added 2 tbsp baba's fish curry powder
