I had leftover cornbread and decided to make homemade croutons for my salad.

Ingredients

2 people
  1. Day old corn bread cut into one inch pieces
  2. 2 TBS.Olive oil
  3. Garlic salt to taste
  4. Black pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Cut up cornbread into one inch pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Toss with olive oil, garlic salt and pepper and then place on a baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure pieces are not overlapping.

    Bake in the oven on 400 degrees until crispy, apx. 13 minutes. I used the air fry feature.

    Remove from oven and let sit until they harden (15 minutes).

  5. 5

    Serve immediately on a salad, or store in an airtight container or ziplock bag for up to 3 days.
