Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make a strong coffee mixture in a mug.
- 2
Add cinnamon powder and mix well. Adding it at this stage helps prevent clumping later.
- 3
Pour in the milk.
- 4
Warm it using the microwave's milk setting, then add and dissolve the honey. It's ready to enjoy.
- 5
You can substitute maple syrup for honey. In that case, you might want to increase the syrup amount slightly. A half-and-half mix of honey and syrup is also delicious.
- 6
If you're on a diet, you can replace honey with a diet sweetener and milk with low-fat milk. The cinnamon flavor will still make it tasty.

Quick peppermint cafe au lait (no froth) Quick peppermint cafe au lait (no froth)
Over the holidays I wanted a little peppermint flavor in my morning coffee. I didn't have any flavored syrups on hand, but I had a jar of peppermint candies on my counter. So I dissolved one of the candies in my coffee and it worked beautifully! It's lightly sweet with just enough mint flavor to spice up your morning coffee. It can be made ahead of time and chilled to enjoy in the afternoon too, or for the next morning to warm up again. Enjoy! Christina T
