Ingredients

  1. 2medium green peppers
  2. How pound ground beef
  3. 1 can (8 ounce)tomato sauce, divided
  4. 1/4 cupuncooked instant rice
  5. 3tablespoonsshredded cheddar cheese, divided
  6. 1 tablespoonchopped onion
  7. Halfteaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  8. Halfteaspoon salt
  9. Quarter teaspoon pepper
  10. 1large egg, beaten

Cooking Instructions

    Cut tops off peppers and discard remove seeds blanch peppers in boiling water for five minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water set aside a bowl combine beef quarter cup tomato sauce, rice 2 tablespoons cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt pepper and egg mix well stop peppers place in ungreased, one and ahalf quart baking dish for the remaining tomato sauce over peppers.

    Cover peppers and bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and peppers are tender. Sprinkle with remaining cheese return to the other five minutes or until cheese is melted.
