Brown Italian sausage and set aside
In same pan, add butter and onion. Sauté until tender.
Add garlic after a couple minutes. - 2
Then add chicken broth, salt, pepper, and potatoes. Bring to boil until potatoes are tender.

Then add kale and heavy cream. Let simmer for 5 minutes, add Italian sausage and serve.
