Ingredients

  1. 10 cupssugar
  2. 1 cupdried ginger
  3. 1 cupwater
  4. 1lemon
  5. 1 tspalum

    Combine water and ginger in a pot and bring to a boil

  2. 2

    Boil ginger mixture for 5 minutes

  3. 3

    Strain ginger mixture and bring the solution back to a boil.

  4. 4

    Add sugar and alum

  5. 5

    Slice a lemon. Using a spoon, add the juice and pulp of the lemon directly to the mixture.

    Reduce temperature and continue to simmer for 10-15 minutes

  7. 7

    Turn off heat and allow the mixture to cool

  8. 8

    Strain mixture and then put into jars
