Ingredients

  • 8 Ozmargarine
  • 8 Ozself raising flour sifted
  • 1and half teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 Ozlight brown sugar
  • 4eggs
  • 1 tbspcoffee essence

Steps

  1. 1

    Place all cake ingredients in mixer or processor & beat until smooth.(About 1-2mins in mixer - 30sec in processor).

  2. 2

    Preheat 160c fan oven, then bake for 18 minutes

  3. 3

    Place in 2 greased and lined 8 inch baking tins in middle shelf of oven for about 18-20 minutes (until brown and firm)

Tips

For filling whip double cream with coffee essence, when soft peaks put some sieved icing sugar to taste
