Ingredients

  1. 1 boxlasagna noodles
  2. 4 cuptomato sauce
  3. 32 ozricotta cheese
  4. 1/2 tbspfresh chopped parsley
  5. 1 tbspfresh chopped basil
  6. 1 largeegg
  7. 1 pinchsalt & pepper
  8. 1 1/2 cupparmigiano reggiano
  9. 12 ozmozzarella cheese
  10. 5 slicesharp provolone

    I always have some of my homemade sauce in the freezer for things like this but jar sauce would also work

    preheat oven to 350°

    cook noodles to package directions

  4. 4

    in large bowl mix together ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the reggiano, the egg, basil, parsley, salt and pepper

    set aside about 1/4 cup of the reggiano and some slices of mozzarella for the top

  6. 6

    assemble lasagna in a 9x13 pan

  7. 7

    spread 3/4 cup of tomato sauce on bottom of pan

  8. 8

    lay noodles over lapping a little across bottom of pan

  9. 9

    spread 1/2 of ricotta mixture over noodles and sprinkle with 1/2 of the reggiano

  10. 10

    lay 1/2 the mozzarella and 1/2 the provolone and top with 1 and 1/4 cup tomato sauce

  11. 11

    repeat steps 8 thru 10

  12. 12

    add one more layer of noodles and top with remaining sauce and cheeses that had been set aside

    cook in oven for 30 to 45 minutes, until top is brown and bubbly

Awesome!!! Added ground beef and everyone loved it. Never would have thought to add provolone.
