A fun thing for the kids to help with! You can use any kind of breakfast cereal really but shreddies look the most 'nest-like'. Decorate with some chenille chicks for added fun!

Ingredients

15 mins
12 servings
  1. 100 gramsmilk chocolate, I use Moo-Free or Plamil vegan brands
  2. 50 gramssunflower spread / butter
  3. 3 tbspgolden syrup
  4. 100 gramsgluten-free cornflakes / rice crisp cereal Nutribix
  5. 3mini easter eggs, haribo or jelly beans per nest, total 36

Cooking Instructions

15 mins
  1. 1

Melt the broken up chocolate, syrup and butter in a glass bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and stir until glossy and combined

  2. 2

Line a 12 hole muffin tray with paper cases

  3. 3

Mix the chocolate into the cornflakes / rice crispie cereal and stir until they're all covered. Nutribix (GF weetabix) works well in these for a proper nest appearance

  4. 4

Spoon some of the mixture in equal amounts into each paper case and use your finger to make an indentation in the middle of each nest for the eggs

  5. 5

Add 3 mini eggs to each nest and let chill in the fridge for 2 hours to set

  6. 6

    Add chenille chicks before serving

  7. 7

I used a mixture of gluten-free puffed rice cereal and hoops this time with Haribo Easter mix as decoration
