My mom made this a lot when I was growing up. She would always bake Cooler Ranch Doris on top, but I don't like how they get soft in the oven.

Ingredients

30 mins
8 servings
  1. 2 lbGround Beef
  2. 2 envelopeTaco Seasoning
  3. 1Cresent Roll Dough Sheet
  4. 1 canRefried Beans
  5. 1Tomato
  6. 1 packagesSour Cream (squeeze bottle is best)
  7. 2 packagesSpanish Rice
  8. 1 packagesShredded Mexican Cheese
  9. lettuce, taco sauce, etc. (optional)

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 375°.

  2. 2

    Brown 2 lbs ground beef

  3. 3

While hamburger cooks, start Spanish Rice, and dice the tomato.

  4. 4

When oven is preheated, take a baking dish and lay Cresent Roll Dough sheet in bottom, making sure bottom is covered. Bake for 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

Add tomato and taco seasoning to ground beef along with what water is required for taco seasoning. Reduce liquid until very little is left.

  6. 6

Once the Cresent Roll Dough sheet is done and out of the oven, spread refried Beans on the bottom.

  7. 7

Finish cooking rice (it took about 25 minutes for the rice I used to cook).

  8. 8

Once the rice is finished cooking, begin layering. Start with ground beef/tomato mixture on top of refried beans. Next squeeze sour cream on top of hamburger mixture.

  9. 9

Add rice on top of sour cream, then layer entire package of Mexican cheese.

  10. 10

Bake at 375° for 10 minutes, just until cheese starts to turn golden brown.
