Ingredients

  1. 1 pintHalf and Half
  2. 1 stickButter (do not use margarine)
  3. 1/2 poundgood Smoked Sausage
  4. 1 1/2 poundsShrimp (cleaned and deveined)
  5. 2 TBSPminced Garlic
  6. 2/3 cupchopped Green Onions
  7. 8 ozSpiral Pasta
  8. 1/4 teaspoonCayenne Pepper
  9. to tasteCajun Seasoning

Cooking Instructions

    Sauté the sausage, onions, and garlic. No need for oil as the sausage will render some. Once there is a little oil in the pan, add the shrimp.

    Cook till the shrimp is done. Drain and save oil, set the rest aside.

    Make pasta according to the box.

  4. 4

    Melt the butter into a pan, add the half and half. Bring just short of a boil and add the shrimp mixture and pasta. With the saved oil make a small blonde roux and add it to the pot with the rest.

    Stir well and warm over medium heat until the sauce thickens. Serve with garlic bread.
