Ingredients

  1. 400 gmDehradun basmati rice
  2. 1 handfulwhole garam masala
  3. 2bay leaves
  4. 1/2 cupnuts and raisins
  5. 1/2 cupboiled peas
  6. 1/4 tspyellow food colouring
  7. To tastesalt and sugar
  8. As neededoil and ghee

Cooking Instructions

    Wash rice and rinse well

  2. 2

    Mix ghee,sugar,nuts and raisins and keep aside

  3. 3

    Now heat oil and temper bay leaf and whole garam masala

  4. 4

    Add the rice and saute well

  5. 5

    Add peas,salt and sugar and mix

  6. 6

    Now pour warm water double in quantity of rice(1:2) and yellow food colour

  7. 7

    Let it boil till rice is soft

  8. 8

    Now garnish with ghee and serve with "kosha mangsho"
