  1. 453 9/16 gchickpeas cooked, around 2 cans
  2. 4 clovesgarlic
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoonssalt
  4. 1 teaspoonblack pepper
  5. 1/2 teaspoonsumac
  6. 1/2 teaspooncumin
  7. 3/4 cuptahini, sesame seed paste
  8. 1/2 cuplemon juice, or more
  9. 1/4 cupolive oil

Cooking Instructions

    Drain cooked chick peas. Reserve their juice.

    Put garlic in food processor and mince.

  3. 3

    Add chick peas and mince, scraping down the sides.

  4. 4

    Add olive oil salt, tahini and lemon juice. Mix. Taste.

  5. 5

    Add enough reserve chick pea juice to make a thick creamy consistency.

  6. 6

    Check taste again for additional lemon or salt.
