Ingredients

  1. 2 cans (28 oz)Contadina crushed tomatoes
  2. 3 slicesthick cut bacon cut into very small pieces
  3. 1/2yellow onion finely chopped
  4. 1 bunchbasil leaves
  5. 1 Tbssugar
  6. Tabasco sauce
  7. Olive oil
  8. 2-3 Tbscrushed garlic

Cooking Instructions

    Add olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan and heat

    Add the bacon and simmer

  3. 3

    Add the onion and simmer until translucent. Just before the onion is done, add the garlic. Cook for a free minutes.

    Add crushed tomatoes, sugar, basil, and a shot of Tabasco

  5. 5

    Mix ingredients well

  6. 6

    Place the pot in the oven overnight at 180°F. Remove in the morning, allow to cool, then refrigerate up to 10 days
