This food is very popular across every region in Germany. We can find it easily at local Folksfests or holiday event like Karneval or Christmas markets. Kartoffelpuffer can be served sweet with apple sauce or other fruit sauce, or salty as I recommend in this recipe.

Cooking Instructions

Place the grated potato in a bowl, and squeeze out the liquid
- 2
Add the egg, corn starch, onion, chicken stock, Muskatnuss, black pepper, and salt
- 3
Mix them well
- 4
Heat some oil in the pan
- 5
Using a table spoon, place the mixture in to the pan, and flatten into pancakes with the back side of the spoon
- 6
Fry it on both side until the color turn into golden brown

Set it aside

For Dip:
50 gr cream cheese
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 tbsp chopped rucola
Salt, and black pepper
Mix all ingredients in a bowl - 9
