Cooking Instructions
- 1
Brown hamburger meat in large pot or Dutch oven. Drain and return to heat. Dice all your vegetables, add to pot and allow to cook until onions are translucent and flavors are brought out.
- 2
Add your potatoes, carrots, beans, tomato sauce, and crushed tomatoes. Add 8 to 10 cups of water and bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes if you like more of a soupy finish or 45 minutes to and hour for thicker stew. Stir occasionally.
- 3
I serve mine with my sugar and spice cornbread and garnish with peperoncini peppers!

Simple Improvised Stew Simple Improvised Stew
With the rainy, cool weather we've been having in Barcelona, we've been craving hearty, comforting meals. Yesterday, we wanted a warm, spoon-friendly dish. Some of the ingredients I used were frozen to keep them from spoiling while we were traveling. The result was a tasty meal that wasn't too heavy.I could have served the soup with just the noodles and then the meat with the chickpeas and vegetables (like escudella), but my husband preferred it this way. carme castilloTranslated from Cookpad Spain -
