@FeelBetter Thank you for your beautiful recipe which I cooked and enjoyed a lot. I used home grown Jackfruit and garnished with walnuts and saffron strands #TRT

Wow, homegrown jackfruit. They travel so far to reach us and therefore are a luxury item here. We love using the seeds inside the pods to make dishes too. I don’t have a clue how to choose when one is ripe but not too over ripe? Perhaps you could give me some guidance how to pick one?Your presentation is beautiful especially with the gold spoons. Thank you for making my recipe 🙏 😊

@FeelBetter Thank you for your kind words and yes I can understand getting ripe jackfruit in England maybe difficult to find, perhaps you can look in Asian stores or Indian stores to see if you find. Over ripe ones will be more yellow in colour and just ripe or under ripe would be tad bit white in colour but not too muchSeeds can be used as a veggie if you boil and cook with ginger, garlic and onion paste or coriander and cumin powder alongwith turmeric and red chilli powder. Seeds can be made to desserts too.

Thanks for your advice. Yes I’ve shared a few recipes on here using young jackfruit, ripe jackfruit and several using the seeds; a favourite of mine is what I’ve called pigeon fodder curry. Very versatile and tasty fruit.
