Ingredients

5 people
  1. 2.5 cupsBasmati rice
  2. 1.5 tbspground garlic
  3. 1 tbspground ginger
  4. 2large ripe tomatoes- grated
  5. 1large green bell pepper- grated
  6. 1 bunchcoriander- chopped
  7. 2large onions- chopper in half rings
  8. 1 tbspcinnamon
  9. 2 tbsppilau masala
  10. 2 tbspcummin
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Hot water to boil rice
  13. Cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

    Wash, chop and boil the meet until it's evenly cooked and soft. Keep the stock.

    Chop and fry the onions until translucent. Remove half a cup of the onions and set aside. Add in the meat and stir. Add in the ground garlic and ginger and cook for about 1 minute.

    Add in the grated tomatoes and green bell pepper. Also include the spices and let it simmer with a bit of beef stock for about 10 minutes until the stew is thick and the oil floats at the top. Add in the rice and water, let it boil until it's dry.

    Once it is cooked, add in the coriander and onions set aside at step 2. With a fork, gently incorporate it into the pilau

    Serve with your desired accompaniment and enjoy!
