Ingredients

  1. 4potatoes
  2. 1/4 cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1/4 cupcorn flour
  4. 1/4 tspsalt
  5. 1/4 tspred chili powder
  6. 1/4 tspblack pepper powder
  7. As required Oil for frying
  8. 1onion finely chopped
  9. 1/2green capsicum finely chopped
  10. 5-6garlic Cloves grated
  11. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  12. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  13. 1 tbspvinegar
  14. 2 tbspchilli sauce
  15. 1 tbspketchup
  16. For Corn Flour Slurry
  17. 1/4 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1/2 inch thick long strips. Cut them evenly.

    In a bowl add cornflour, maida(all-purpose flour), salt, pepper powder, red chili powder, and mix well Add water gradually and mix well. Dip the potato pieces into the batter and mix well to coat all the potatoes pieces evenly.

    Heat oil in a pan on medium flame and deep fry the potato pieces till they are golden brown in color and keep them aside.

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add garlic and saute for some seconds. Add onions and let it fry for a minute add capsicum saute for a minute. Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, vinegar, and ketchup, and mix well. Add red chili powder and to taste salt some water and bring it to a boil.

    Now Dissolve 2 tbsp cornstarch in 1/4 cup water to make a smooth slurry and add this to the pan. Mix well and cook for 20 seconds.

    Add the fried potato pieces and mix for few seconds. Switch off the heat.

    Transfer on a serving plate. Serve immediately.
