Soak toor dal for half an hour

In a cooker Put oil and when hot add mustard and cummin hing.when it sputters add ginger garlic paste.cook for 1 min add onion cook for 2 mins.

Now add tomato cook till mushy add dry masala and salt.Now add toor dal cook for 2 mins add water according to require consistency I added 3 to 4 cups of water.Cook till 4 whistle.Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve with steam rice
