Honey Garlic Chicken Drumstick
Recently, I stumbled upon my mothers’ old recipe (diary) book from the 80’s. The dairy was full of memories and stories from my mother’s teenage and early years of marriage which I love to read over and over again. I must have read those stories hundreds of times yet every time I find something interesting in it that makes for nice nostalgic dialog with my mother. She took Chinese cooking classes in the 80’s. It was the time when Chinese cuisine was getting popular in Pakistan and Chinese restaurants were a rarity. One of the recipes from her dairy, also our family favorite, is Drumsticks. Any Chinese dinner without drumsticks is just incomplete for me and the recipe has been close to my heart for a long time. This blog is dedicated to my mother who is so unconditionally supportive and amazing. More so, because I have used her recipe with some twist this time around. Fatima Tauqir -
