Ingredients

  1. 250 gmarbi(medium size)
  2. 4-5pepper corns,
  3. 1black cardamom
  4. 2cloves,
  5. 1Bay leaf
  6. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  7. 2 tbsponion paste
  8. 1 tspginger paste
  9. 1 tspgarlic paste
  10. leavesFew curry
  11. 1 tbspcoriander powder
  12. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  13. 1 tspred Chilli powder
  14. as per taste Salt
  15. 1/4 cupoil
  16. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder
  17. as required Water

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    First peel and wash the arbi very well. Heat oil in a pressure cooker add whole arbi and fry them till golden brown. Transfer in a plate
    (I use medium size arbi so I have not cut it. If you have big you can cut into halves.)

    In the same oil add whole spices and curry leaves,add onion paste and saute 2 minutes.add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.

    In a bowl take coriander powder,turmeric powder and Chilli powder. Add some water and mix well. When onion, ginger and garlic paste cook add this paste, add salt and little water. Stir continuously and Cook the spices until oil has comes on top.

    When oil has separated add fried arbi and cook with spices for 1 minute. Add 1 cup water mix and cover the lid. Pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.after 2 whistle turn off the flame
    Allow to Release the pressure naturally

  5. 5

    Open the cooker, the arbi has perfectly cooked. Add garam masala powder mix well. Serve this curry with hot roti
