Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Pasta

AL2007 @cook_2706291
love this. made with ranch instead of blue cheese since I was pregnant when making it. Delish!!! :-)

AbigailGrimm @cook_2707957
THIS was AWESOME.I modded it a bit to fit my family's tastes. I used 2 cups of mozzarella and a packet of dry ranch dressing mix, instead of the blu cheese crumbles. The consistency was perfect. :hungry

AndeV @cook_2717659
a lot soupy-er than I was expecting but flavor was excellent! I used goat cheese on top of serving dishes in place of blue cheese. perfect flavor combo! Easy prep and tender chicken. I will certainly make this again!

Aerial @cook_2720852
Incredibly good! Just be careful of it drying out on the "keep warm" setting.

1Eve @cook_2699297
Just made this. I added about a tablespoon or so of ranch powder. & 1/2 the hot sauce for my kids. The pasta is boiling. I can't wait to try it!

AvenuQ @cook_2726887
This is seriously wonderful!!! I skipped the blue cheese and used Moores buffalo wing sauce. Its mild enough that the kids can eat it too. We love it!!!!

Badger_Badgerson @cook_2729941
Flavoursome, but very heavy meal. Too cheesy. found the mozerella just clumped.

BlondJohny @cook_2738511
this was seriously the best thing that's ever come out of my crock pot. amazing amazing dish!!

CaliCreole @cook_2748300
sounds pretty good. I'm going to give a try and post my results. [ok]

CherryStewart @cook_2772631
Next time I'll do half the blue cheese, but it was really good. We used a really spicy hot wing sauce. I may do some milk in place of part of the sour cream so it's more saucy.

ChrisSDPA @cook_2774598
My daughter loves this dish...always asks for it. I make with Hooters sause and add extra Frank's Red Hot. The combo is great.

Dld23 @CookDLD23
Made with ranch instead of blue cheese, generous shakes of onion and garlic powder, Kroger medium wing sauce, and a little extra mozzerella(2- 8 ounce bags) and it is the best pasta that I have had ~(o.o)~

DaniCalifornia @cook_2787318
good dish, but soupier & not as flavorful as i thought it was going to be.

DeerfootCook @cook_2792409
I added about 2 extra cups of noodles as it was way too rich and creamy with only 3 cups, I used just over a 500g bag of penne

DimoFamily @cook_2795818
This was a good base recipe. We substituted a few ingredients and added a few. Needed more complex flavors for our family. We left out blue cheese. Substituted 1 block of cream cheese. Also used 1 cup of water and 2 cans of cream of chicken to cook the chicken in. This made the sauce runny. But a jar of alfredo sauce added in to the mix corrected it. Would be great pared with some garlic bread. Next time I might try baking it all in the oven after the chicken cooks. NOTE: This recipe needs to cool for about 15 minutes to thicken up.

Ebeifuss @cook_2802373
Husbands favorite meal. Learned that you can cook it the exact same way but in a skillet and is just as good, and faster. I used buffalo wild wings sauce and no blue cheese.

Escherer @cook_2807877
I left out the bleu cheese and sour cream and it tasted good. made 5 large servings!

Irenee @cook_2834299
Loved it!!! ~(o.o)~
Made enough for 5 people. Went a bit Buffalo-crazed! Absolutely amazing :)
Made enough for 5 people. Went a bit Buffalo-crazed! Absolutely amazing :)

JDickson11 @cook_2836673
I have made this several times and it has been a hit. I use a whole box of penne 2 cans soup and 1 cup hot sauce and about 3 chicken breasts. No blue cheese but lots of mozzarella and turns out fantastic.

JamieHouseWife @cook_2840317
Sooo... i did 1/4cup of BlueCheese and a Squirt of Ranch instead of SourCream.......... LOVE ITTTTT!!!! not too spicy neither! :positive

JessFK @cook_2847285
Delicious! Just beware what kind of hot sauce you use. Tapatio may not have been my best decision! :-D

Kimlem @cook_2868244
Very good! I mixed in half of a dry ranch mix with the sour cream. My husband and I loved it. A little spicy for the kids.

Jrzygrl @cook_2855076
My family loves this recipe. I have been cooking the chicken first then shedding it instead if cutting it into pieces. More chicken with every bite this way. I also omit the blue cheese and add ranch dressing instead.

Madjax19 @cook_2893125
Liked it. Buffalo wings come with celery, so I substituted Cream of Celery soup for the chicken soup.

MaybeKatie @cook_2901178
once prepared, this recipe looks like one hot mess. but my fiance loves it, so I make it anyway. ;-)

Misty1973 @cook_2910772
This was amazing my kids like hot stuff and im always lookin for different things to cook. I reduced fat everything it was great I will share this recipe.

Mme416 @cook_2911640
Very simple and yummy! I used buffalo sauce instead of hot, and no bleu cheese. I would recommend doubling the liquid ingredients, as my husband and I wanted more! :positive

Momma Tee @cook_2912788
This was really delicious! I couldn't find actual Bleu Cheese so substituted it with a 1/3 cup of Bleu cheese dressing and it was still good! :-)

MrsJanieK @cook_2918006
Made this yesterday and it was wonderful!!! I added an extra can of cream of chicken soup and a little extra wing sauce... it was spicy but oh so good! Next time I will probably add a little more chicken!!! Will definitely be making this again!!! :positive

Nellmybell @cook_2927105
We all loved it! I used franks.cheddar cheese and did it on the stove! It is awesome!

NicoleBandes @cook_2929288
Made this without the blue cheese and used a shredded cheese blend instead of just mozzarella. It was worth making again.

REBELDOGG @cook_2947232
I will try this cause I love anything that has a Buffalo spicy taste. :chef

Renesgirl @cook_2953641
Excellent recipe. Very tasty! !! I made this as a casserole and came out awesome :-) (I cooked the chicken first) my teenage son doesn't like blue cheese so when I make this I leave it out

Rfallin79 @cook_2954137
I've made this about 4 times and with different ideas and they all come out great, next idea is with cheddar rather than mozzarella

Ricky @cook_2954557
This is worth making for the sauce/ soup alonev if nothing else! Do not omit the chilli sauce or sour cream! Blue cheese really makes it worthwhile imo %-)

Snickerfaced @cook_2979434
This was one of the best recipes I've ever made! I had one family member eat 3 plates of it! I'll make this for parties from now on!

Takkage @cook_2991164
Made this a couple weeks ago and it was fantastic. I used more hot sauce, added ground black pepper, and add a can of cream of celery to it as well. it comes out fantastic!

TroseMims @cook_3004819
Awesome!!! I am not a fan of blue cheese but it's actually a good balance to the recipe!

ZFschneider @cook_3018924
Delicious and easy! I'm a rank amateur cook, but have been learning some great recipes thanks to this app, and this IHS one of my new favorites! I volunteered to make a side dish for the football game today, and somehow got roped into making the main dish for a crowd of a dozen hungry dudes! I choose to make to make this, and it was a huge success! Even my picky little cousin went back for seconds, and he turns his nose up at fang near everything. Thanks for the new favorite dude-food!

Adam Ashley @cook_3028542
My family loved this recipe. We fixed it 3 times in one week. We like things spicy, we added cayenne pepper to the chucked and added pickled jalapeño's near the end. Yum

abryannah5 @cook_3026525
i used franks extra spicy hot sauce and colby jack cheese instead of the bleu cheese. insanely hot but very yummy :)

Allison Corro @cook_3049816
I've made this twice already. To save time I just cut up a rotisserie chicken, and it was just as delicious. I topped it with scallions and blue cheese crumbles.

alicia42581 @cook_3046961
it was so good! it was a huge hit in my house & was requested for me to make it again before it was even gone!

Alyson Swerdloff @cook_3052836
I add a little ranch to make it not as spicy for my kids. Otherwise delicious!

amazonbarbiedoll @cook_3056247
It was good but i really dont think the sour cream is neccessary especially if ur gonna use ranch dressing

bigbear88 @cook_3122179
delicious! didn't have time for the crockpot so put everything in addition to some milk and butter in a pan, topped with mozzarella and baked

bre24 @cook_3139704
Soooo yummy! Even better the next day. Used franks buffalo sauce, and canned chicken to make it easier!

caitlin.graziano.98 @cook_3155964
My husband and I loved this! I made a couple of changes. I did 1 cup of mozzarella and 1/2 cup of cheddar and I added a cup of ranch dressing. I also used egg noodles.

cgomez9223 @cook_3174789
this recipe was awesome!!! took this to my job potluck and it was a hit! :ohyeaah

chris.purse.184 @cook_3192331
Pretty darn tasty. Easy to make. Went down great with Sam Adams Boston Lager. Definitely a keeper.

classicool140 @cook_3202561
I made this for my fire station and the guys loved it! I didn't use blue cheese but it was still great. I think next time instead of sour cream I will use cream cheese :) great and easy recipe!

cmcolem @cook_3205397
very very good! I added an extra can of cream of chicken to take away how spicy it is since my kids can't handle all of that but still really good and spicy!

corysmom @cook_3214901
OMG!!! this is awesome! my family loves it. super easy to make! so so yummy!

crystal.risner @cook_3221594
Love, love, love this! I added a ranch dip packet while slow cooking the chicken, used full feozen chicken breasts, and increased the hot sauce. after the chicken was cooked I shredded it. This is amazing!

damlamb @cook_3230898
I've made this three times and it was enjoyed by all. Even if your not a fan of blue cheese you'll probably still like it.

dana.mainus @cook_3231471
I used canned chicken instead of frozen chicken breast it was awesome loved it def a top on my list been craving for it again!! lol :chef

cutie72884 @cook_3225328
Absolutely amazing! Made this for dinner tonight and totally impressed with it! The boyfriend is in love and already requesting it again! So much flavor!

Dave Earll @cook_3239077
This is a very easy recipe, but a little rich. I agree with other reviewers, that perhaps the bleu cheese could be substituted for another cheese. I think that I will try muenster or perhaps cheddar the next time that I make it, and leave the bleu cheese out.

denaroo @cook_3251168
Very easy and yummy! As my brother would say 'it's bloody delicious!!' I used BBQ sauce instead of hot sauce and cheddar cheese instead of blue cheese.

dolphinchick @cook_3267779
I made this for a big family get together and everyone fell in love with it!! super creamy & delicious! (they didn't want blue cheese so I substituted some ranch dressing!) thanks for the recipe! :ohyeaah

erin.b.anderson.96 @cook_3300066
Delicious, the family loved it. I shredded my chicken and I did a splash of milk to thin it out, so good!!! :flower

gilesbaby812 @cook_3336869
I loved this recipe, however I have a picky eater so I changed it up a bit.instead of blue cheese or sour cream,I added cheddar cheese and cream cheese accordingly.

ginger.miller.71 @cook_3337836
Came out perfect. Great taste and very easy. I used tenders so I didn't have to chop chicken.

glenda6967 @cook_3339915
this is very good but I also fried the chicken a little before putting it in the crock pot

gretacaroline @cook_3347978
This was AMAZINGLY good. I used almost a whole bottle of wing sauce because I wanted it a little spicier. I also used ranch dressing instead of bleu cheese.

infiniteaxis @cook_3385224
Made exactly, plus a red pepper and half a purple onion. Didn't add any salt initially or in pasta water because Frank's already has plenty. Very flavorful and high calorie. Won't eat often, but will make again when not counting calories.

irishcarbomb @cook_3387278
this was amazing!! I added double the wing sauce and a little extra cheese

jenburton12 @cook_3417894
I made it a few months ago and now catch myself making it often i tweak the recipe every time!!

Jennifer Ransum @cook_3420666
As my kids said "Oh sooooooo good mommy" this is something that is easy and makes alot. I also shredded the chicken and i added more mozzarella cheese and other spices.

jhaggardwren @cook_3431343
It was tasty in my opinion it could have less sour cream. too rich for my tummy. you could easily serve this as a dip just by removing the pasta.

jgtown @cook_3431215
Simple and delicious. Not a great leftover, tho. Pasta soaks up all the liquid and the kick drops off significantly. It basically turns into fancy mac 'n' cheese with chicken so try to size your batch to disappear in one meal.

Debbie Myers @cook_3449502
My family loves this. It has made it to the monthly rotation of meals.

kaylacline @cook_3483928
I did not like the addition of ranch dressing. It over powered the flavor. I also found the sauce too heavy.

kaylad088 @cook_3483940
absolutely great! it is my husbands favorite thing from the crock pot :positive

Kelly Fries @cook_3491093
Everyone liked it but we are are our own worst critics and I just thought it was lack luster. I was expecting rich flavor and a generous amount but for the four of us I just was not too impressed. It was simply average.

kittymama5 @cook_3506767
Awesome! I added some of the left over blue cheese on each serving as a garnish. TASTY :-)

kristinie @cook_3517371
very good and good re-heated too! I may try using ranch dressing instead of blue cheese next time.

kt44444 @cook_3520122
I cooked a whole chicken in advance and then shredded the meat. I heated the cheese and chicken mixture on the stovetop instead of a crock pot.

kwalker32 @cook_3522228
made this tonight usdd turkey instead of chicken and was great also used twist pasta sine i had no pennia pasta

leanne.pearce.33 @cook_3538192
Yum! sooooooo easy, fuss-free. added a bit more hot sauce, a a handfuls of shredded extra sharp cheddar, a little diced onion and a bit of fresh cilantro. yum yum yum. :ohyeaah

magoo5 @cook_3581369
wonderful recipe. added hot rotel diced tomatoes which gave it more flavor

mamaeof3 @cook_3585292
Skipped the crock pot and did this on the stove top. I'll go easy on the blue cheese next time. Just a little too powerful. And yes, there will be a next time. yum!

mdbailey00 @cook_3611234
Made this recently and it was just as delicious as I thought it would be. Next time I'm going to try adding some canned mushrooms to the recipe as well.

missrainey @cook_3638783
Great dish. We doubled the recipe. Would probably leave out blue cheese and add more hot sauce. We used Frank's Red Hot. Recommend this.

mmkp @cook_3644698
Addictively spicy. I cut the chicken into about 1" cubes or smaller so it took my crockpot only about 2-3ish hours on low. This one's a keeper, easy to make and tasty as heck. It's versatile too, switch out any variety for the cheese or sub ranch/ blue cheese dressing for the sour cream

mollykatie.me @cook_3647650
Unfortunately my family can't handle spicy food, whereas I thought it wasn't spicy enough. Other than that, it was complaint free!

mommyfood @cook_3649190
This had good flavor but I found it to be very heavy and uninteresting to eat. The whole dish is the same flavor and texture.

motherofthree @cook_3654818
great recipe I left blue cheese out and placed cheddar cheese in it.

Natasha Jones @cook_3661798
Tried this today for the first time...my family and I loved it! The only thing I did different was omit the blue cheese and added broccoli

nicholashawkins1 @cook_3687447
Good but very rich, Won't make too often. But will definitely make again. :squirrel

mxkris @cook_3668430
This was great! It was very thick though, like a buffalo mac and cheese! My boyfriend said he could eat it every day!

peanut1105 @cook_3723470
total hit. side note we did bot cube the chicken breast we put them in whole and just shredded it at the end.

phunkat @cook_3729553
Great recipe I keep getting request for me to bring to every family function.... My family loves it

rashay16 @cook_3755889
I cooked the chicken on the foreman gril, subsituted a squirt of ranch dressing instead of blue cheese, and used Franks hot sauce instead....I also added cayenne pepper for an added kick!!!! Yum Yum Yum :chef

rlg @cook_3774751
This dish was far better as a left over. Once it had time to sit it tasted amazing.

sammyo @cook_3801103
I just made this on the stove and cooked the noodles first. It still came out good. Super cheesy.

sarahm13 @cook_3807954
To make this quicker I used already cooked chicken and I also cooked the pasta in the crockpot with everything else. Never knew noodles could cook in the crockpot until I tried a different recipe and I've been doing it ever since. It only took me about 2 hours this method

sasejess @cook_3809669
I doubled the recipe except stuck to .5 cup blue cheese. really soupy so I added the cooked whole wheat penned to crockpot and cooked til noodles soaked up. it was so so good. my husband begged me to make again.

sharah.g13 @cook_3827448
Amazing! I omitted the blue cheese. My wife and I absolutely love it. It's one of our favorite recipes.

shawnastreeter @cook_3830053
This was really good, but its not something I would make as an everyday meal. i would bring it to a party as a dish to pass.

shortcrazy1 @cook_3838433
def a winner. added too much blue cheese the first time I made it but it still turned out awesome and not overbearing.

sheridancer @cook_3834551
We don't like blue cheese so I substituted with cream cheese and it was amazing. Its my boyfriends FAVORITE. My mom doesnt like anything spicy and she went back for seconds! YUM.

shwilson81 @cook_3839985
easy to make...good alternative for hot wings....i used veggie pasta to make it a little healthy :detective :

sierrasmommy @cook_3841223
wasn't too bad, my boyfriend and even ny one yo daughter loved it! :-)

specialk5 @cook_3859408
I read all the reviews before making this and decided it was worth a shot. I am not disappointed! I didnt have blue cheese but i did have blue cheese dressing so I used that instead. It tasted great! I feel its only fair to leave a comment for someone else who may be contemplating making this recipe. :chef

talldrinkowater @cook_3888780
I didn't make it in the crockpot prolly should have but it was ok

tammyheath @cook_3890341
i made this with Louisiana Red Hot and chicken thighs and cheddar cheese instead of mozz. i had half of Facebook over to eat it and they LOVED IT!

taraandkenzie @cook_3892625
I made this again but added red peppers, mushrooms and onions. delicious. I make a big batch so i use a whole box of penne, small low fat sour cream container, 2 chicken breasts, 2 cream of chicken, one bottle wing sauce, and top with reduced fat mozzarella and blue cheese crumbles. B-)

taylour.ewald @cook_3896061
freaking yummy . ate it on a burrito shell so making it again real soon

teena.simmonssmelser @cook_3899180
Hubby loved it I sub bbq for hotsauce and ranch anything dressing for sour cream and crea
of mushroom instead of chicken. thank u for ideas for substitutions :chef
of mushroom instead of chicken. thank u for ideas for substitutions :chef

tracey.mallinger @chunkycook
VERY tasty!!! followed recipe to a tee. definitely will make again

vawalker65 @cook_3943879
oh my yummy goodness ! just made this and it is delicious ! i added 3/4 cup wing sauce and extra can of soup. its definitely a keeper and would be great for football guests instead of the usual hot wings.

vegas1992 @cook_3944782
Quick and easy, nice amount of heat with half cup of Frank's red hot. Will definitely make again.

whecollier @cook_3961474
Fantastic made our taste buds dance! Thanks for sharing. This one goes in the family recipe book. :-)

williamchandy @cook_3964334
This would have been great but I sub fetta for the bc and it was too tangy. Otherwise a great rec. I also used more chicken and less noodles for a better texture.

xomunchknxo66 @cook_3971913
Great dish! I did not use blue cheese, and used franks buffalo wing sauce!! I also cooked the chicken in a frying pan on very low heat instead of the crockpot.. it was faster and came out really good.. followed the rest of the directions accordingly!

bchayzlett @cook_4393393
So easy and so yum! I don’t use the full amount of mozzarella. I more eyeball it to the consistency I prefer.
