    Soak mixture of rice and dal for half-hour, then in a pressure cooker add water then add the mixture of soak dal and rice add salt, haldi and ghee.

    Cover the lid and cook it for 5 to 7 whistles then let it cool down. After 15 mins open the lid and stir it with a big spoon so khichdi looks like halva, it's yummy and healthy. Eat with a little green chutney on the top and gravy sabji like turiya baigan, aloo or any leafy bhaji.
