Finally got a picture of this chicken. I made it twice; the first time, I left it while I took a shower and came back to only two pieces left 🙈, so I couldn't take a photo. I made it again the next day with more chicken because the kids complained there wasn't enough. By 11 AM, they had already eaten twice 😂, even though they usually only eat breakfast and dinner. But this chicken is really delicious, the seasoning is just right, and the oil doesn't get dirty easily. It's definitely a new favorite for the kids. Thanks for the recipe, @vinahimatur 😘🤗

Ingredients

  1. 250 gchicken
  2. 10 clovesgarlic, smashed (originally 9)
  3. 1egg
  4. 2 tbspcornstarch
  5. 1/4 tspground pepper
  6. 1lime
  7. as neededCooking oil
  8. Spice paste:
  9. 5shallots
  10. 3 clovesgarlic
  11. 1 tspcoriander
  12. 1/2 inchturmeric
  13. 1/2 inchginger
  14. 1/2 tbspsalt (adjust to taste)
  15. 1/2 tbspsugar

Cooking Instructions

    Grind all the spice paste ingredients, set aside.

    In a bowl, mix the egg and cornstarch. Add the chicken and spice paste, mix well. Let it sit for 15 minutes (I prefer 30 minutes) or overnight for better flavor.

    Smash the garlic without peeling it, then add it to the chicken mixture and fry everything until golden brown.
