I made an easier version of a recipe I found in a recipe book I read a long time ago.The cookies are delicious if you add 40 g chopped walnuts at Step 2. It's easy to coat the cookies with powdered sugar if you put the cookies and sugar in a plastic bag and shake. Adjust baking time depending on your oven. Both salted and unsalted butter are good for this, so use whichever you'd prefer. Recipe by Mirusuke. cookpad.japan -

Crunchy Nuts Almond Snowball Cookies Crunchy Nuts Almond Snowball Cookies
I love snowball cookies with almonds inside, and so the amount of almonds I added to the cookie gradually escalated. I finally reached a point where the almonds wouldn't fit anymore. The slight sweetness of the powdered sugar and almonds tastes delicious. There are a lot of almonds mixed in so the dough is prone to crumbling while shaping. Squeeze the dough tightly with your fingers. The salt content of the butter differs depending on the brand, so whenever you use salted butter, and also when you think the almonds taste too salty, wipe off the salt with a kitchen towel. Snowball Cookies for Christmas Snowball Cookies for Christmas
I make this not just for the Christmas season, but also at other times of the year.It is easy and cute, so my kids bring them as gifts when they visit their friends' houses. It is sweet and delicious.I always use margarine for cake as it is soft to mix and reasonably priced, but of course you can use butter instead. If you have cornstarch, use half cornstarch and half cake flour. It makes for a lighter texture. These will be pretty fragile just after baking, so please be gentle. Recipe by Nyanyadeko. cookpad.japan
