Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  1. 4 piecesSpanish mackerel
  2. 2/3 cupbatter: all-purpose flour (about 80 grams)
  3. 1 teaspoonbatter: dry yeast
  4. 1batter: egg
  5. 3 tablespoonsbatter: beer
  6. 3 tablespoonsbatter: milk
  7. 1/2lemon
  8. Salt, to taste
  9. Pepper, to taste
  10. as neededAll-purpose flour,
  11. Olive oil, for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the batter ingredients well and let it sit for about an hour to ferment.

    Remove the bones from the Spanish mackerel, cut into bite-sized pieces, and sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Lightly coat with all-purpose flour.

    Dip the Spanish mackerel in the batter, heat olive oil to medium (340°F), and fry until the batter puffs up and turns golden brown.
