Poached eggs on sourdough

Had never had poached eggs before, and I love egg on toast. I had a loaf of sourdough bread and decided to put them on that. After seasoning, it was one of the best egg dishes I've ever put in my mouth. Since then, I've gotten better at poaching eggs, the ones pictured are too runny.

Ingredients

1-2 slices per
  1. Sourdough bread (1-2 slices)
  2. Eggs (2-4)
  3. Swiss Cheese (one slice per piece of bread)
  4. Butter
  5. Onion powder
  6. Dried Dill
  7. Dried cilantro
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper
  10. Crushed dried hot pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Butter bread, lightly add seasonings, split cheese slice in half and divide evenly on bread. Broil until cheese is melted

  2. 2

    Poach eggs (2 per slice of bread)

  3. 3

    Place poached eggs on top of bread, lightly re-season the eggs, break yolk and serve.
