Ingredients

  1. 1 bowlmoong dal
  2. 2 bowlgrated cabbage
  3. 6garlic cloves
  4. 1 inchginger
  5. 2green chillies
  6. 5-6curry leaves
  7. 3 tablespoonfresh coriander leaves
  8. 3 teaspoonsalt
  9. 2 teaspooncoriander seeds
  10. 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  11. 1 teaspoonfennel seeds
  12. 2 tablespoongarammasala
  13. 2 bowlwheat flour
  14. 1 cupwater

    Soak the moong dal for 2 hours.Remove the excess water.

    In the meantime take the wheat flour in a big parat and knead a soft dough with water,then apply littil oil and cover it and allow to rest it.

    Now in a mixture jar put garlic,ginger,green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves and make paste.

    Now transfer the moong dal to a mixture jar,add salt,cumin - coriander- fennel seeds and grind well.

    Now heat a pan add oil,heat it,then add the green paste and saute properly to remove it's rawness,then add moong dal mixture and let it cook properly.

    Now in another pan add oil,then add grated cabbage and saute it,then add garam masala and let the cabbage cook. We have to cook moong dal and cabbage separately because moong dal requires more time to cook than cabbage.

    Now let both the mixtures cool down then mix them well to form a proper stuffing.

    Now take a small ball from.the dough and give it a shape of a katori, then put the small portion of stuffing into it and close the katori properly.

    Now roll it properly applying some flour and then roast it applying oil / ghee / butter from both the sides.

    Serve with your favorite pickle,/ chutney,/ sauce.
