Better than can soup from the store. And better for you. Hubby and I love this. Great with crackers or homemade cornbread.

Ingredients

15 mins
4 servings
  1. 1 lbbag of split peas
  2. 1 smallonion, chopped
  3. 1celery stalk chopped
  4. 1 largecarrot, chopped
  5. 1 cancream of celery soup
  6. 1chopped ham
  7. 1salt and pepper to taste as well as other spices and herbs of your choice

Cooking Instructions

15 mins
  1. 1

Wash and rinse peas. Cover with enough water. Add onion, celery, carrot.

  2. 2

Boil for about 30 min. or so, or till peas and carrot is tender.

  3. 3

Add can of condensed cream of celery soup. This is to help make the soup creamy, (which is what I like). Season to taste. Simmer for about 10 - 15 minutes. Garnish as you wish.

Sounds like a good one, can't wait to try it, all your ingredients sound right, however think I might po'folk'r, up a touch & substitute ur ham cubes, with a couple a big ole Hocks. I've found their flavor tends to have a permeation that last thru the whole leftover stage, like nothing else. Thank you for being there. KTF
