Ok, i always boil my corn beef, cabbage, red potatoes unpealed and cabbage, so by using your method should i put all ingredients in pot and let it boil for 5/ 6 hours?

I put the cabbage in on the last hour so the cabbage will not boil away becoming mushy and still have a little bite. you can add the last 2 hours to get a wee bite
