This was the first recipe I ever made as being a pastry chef! I was 7 or 6. (Somewhere around there). Anyway...! I love this recipe because it’s not to sweet, not bitter, not crunchy, and SUPER MOIST! Hope you love this! 😉😁☺️

Moist apple walnut squares

Ingredients

  1. 1 stickbutter (softened)
  2. 1 cupwhite sugar
  3. 1medium egg
  4. 1 cupflour (Un bleached)
  5. 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  7. 1 teaspooncinnamon
  8. 1large Granny Smith Apple
  9. 1 cupwalnuts (chopped)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. (3 minutes)

  2. 2

    Beat in egg

  3. 3

    In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon

  4. 4

    Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter and sugar

  5. 5

    Combine well

  6. 6

    Chop and peel apple

  7. 7

    Add Apple and walnut to mixture and stir until combined

  8. 8

    Grease an 8 in square baking dish

  9. 9

    Add mixture to greased baking dish

  10. 10

    Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes
