I took this pic as I was cooking....I and haven’t tried it yet..but I did discover the prep time is long ..like about 3 to 4 hr. Until eating..hope it will be good. Made a few mistakes but improvised. I noticed a lot of unnecessary steps that should be looked at, like some repetition like remove oil and add butter then add oil..could shorten the process but nice ingredients

Thanks for trying out the recipe and adding your comments. Yes, the prep / cooking time is about 3 hours. You questioned a step as repetitious (adding oil again), however it calls for a "measured" amount. So you pour off the oil, measure a 1/2 cup, then add only that amount back. You need correct measured amounts when making the roux. I hope the finished meal met your expectations!
