Ingredients

  1. 2 cupscooked chickpeas (reserve the liquid)
  2. 1/2 cuptahini (sesame paste)
  3. 1/4 cupextra virgin olive oil, plus oil for drizzling
  4. 4-5 clovesgarlic, peeled, or to taste
  5. to tasteSalt and freshly ground black pepper
  6. 1 tablespoonground cumin
  7. 1 tsppaprika for Garnish
  8. 1Juice of lemon, plus more if needed
  9. as requiredChopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Put boiled chickpeas, tahini, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, cumin, paprika and lemon juice in a food processor and blend well.

    Add the chickpea liquid or water, as required, for a smooth paste.

    You can taste and adjust the seasoning accordingly as per your liking. You can also add more lemon juice, if needed.

    The hummus is now ready to be served!

    Transfer the hummus into a bowl, drizzle some olive oil on it and sprinkle some cumin or paprika along with the parsley.
