Hi, I bought a ready-made garam masala powder in the store. Can I use that instead? Do I still need to add the spices you mentioned?

You can definitely use garam masala instead. It should cover most of the spices I have listed. You may want to add ginger, turmeric, and salt still, optionally rosemary or other herbs if you want, but ultimately nothing is a requirement, that's just what works for me, experiment and see how it turns out. If you read the ingredients on the garam masala it should say what spices are in it if you want an idea of which ones are missing.
