If you don't partly cook the raw sausages then the worry is - that the batter will cook before the sausages are done,have seen sausages being browned off in a frying pan on old TV Cookery Shows before placing them in hot oil within a Roasting Tin and then the thin Pancake Batter being poured over and then quickly placed back into a very hot oven.
Traditionally,maybe the sausages are not meant to be browned off - maybe it's possible too place in very hot water and boil for a while - the raw sausages in skin's and then place in the oven with very hot Cooking Oil - with the Pancake Batter poured over the top - of course.

The calories amount too 2.200,the Recipe technique is based upon the TV Chef Brian Turner who I saw on TV make a batter using the equal Cup method and I used Raymond Blanc's' method of boiling the sausages in boiling hot water for 5 minutes before adding to the pan of hot Olive Oil.Raymond Blanc is a French Chef that lives in the UK.
