I don't know if this helps.. But I use preferred sugar to make sweet popcorn. I find it coats the popcorn evenly.

I agree caster sugar is not the best at coating the popcorn so keen to try alternatives! Did you mean powdered sugar? If so that’s a great idea!! I didn’t even think of that!

Oh sorry... Yes, powdered sugar* is what I meant. Auto type doing it's thing 😜I've yet to find out how to make the cinema sweet popcorn... Any ideas?

Haha yes autocorrect is here to challenge us! I think the cinemas use liquid corn syrup on theirs, perhaps it could be replicated with a thinned out homemade sugar syrup 🤔 I love your powdered sugar idea though, I’m going to try it next weekend with the kids and we will report back!! (Any excuse to make popcorn 🤣)

Thanks for the tip.Yes.. there's no excuse not to make your own popcorn! It's so easy and so much cheaper.. And somewhat healthier.. Depending... 🤭Lol
