Easy goulash recipe I make with ground turkey. You can easily make this with ground beef also for a bit more traditional flare. I serve with cheese on top, but is also good with sour cream or other toppings of your choice.

Easy goulash recipe I make with ground turkey. You can easily make this with ground beef also for a bit more traditional flare. I serve with cheese on top, but is also good with sour cream or other toppings of your choice.

Ingredients

about 60 min
8 to 10 serving
  1. 2-3 lbsground turkey (or ground beef)
  2. 1medium yellow onion - chopped
  3. 1 stalkcelery - diced
  4. 1small carrot - diced
  5. 5 clovesgarlic - minced
  6. 4 cupswater
  7. 2-15 ozcans tomato sauce
  8. 2-15 ozcans diced tomatoes
  9. 2 tbspsoy sauce
  10. 2 tbspworschester sauce
  11. 2beef bullion cubes (optional)
  12. 2 tbspdried oregano
  13. 2 tspdried basil
  14. 1 tspseason salt
  15. 3bay leaves
  16. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  17. 2 cupselbow macaroni - uncooked (about 8 oz)
  18. Shredded sharp cheddar (for serving)

Cooking Instructions

    In large stock pot or dutch oven over medium heat, cook meat, onions, carrot, and celery until meat is cooked through and onions are translucent.

    Stir in garlic and cook another 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add all remaining ingredients except pasta and cheese. Bring to a simmer.

  4. 4

    Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer about 20 min.

  5. 5

    Stir in macaroni and simmer, covered, about 25 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir occasionally.

    Serve garnished with cheese or other condiments as desired.
